I will be staying at the W Hotel, which is apparently quite a drive from Barcelona proper. What is the best method of transport from the airport to the hotel and what is the best method of transport from the hotel to meetup spots for tours I have booked leaving from Barcelona?

Here is a RideGuru estimate from the airport to your hotel, showing some ride options. As you can see, Uber should work, and there is also a service called Cabify which might be slightly cheaper. Taxis will also be around the same price.
