Is it true I cannot sue Uber or Lyft even if my driver gets into a horrible wreck?
What is this I hear about how it is very difficult to sue and hold Uber liable for anything. What …
I am still waiting for the day for a drone to deliver my pizza to my backyard.
I'd be willing to build a tiny heliport for them to drop it off. How fun and cool that'd be.
Does anyone even remember that tv show FireFly? It had a cult following back in the day but it got cancelled due to... well, having a crappy show.
Oh, for sure.
It happens with regular rides too, right? Like another passenger on a shared ride is a jerk or heavy traffic causes major delays.
Tough situation for any driver. There should be a separate rating for the restaurant itself to report bad foods or wrong orders.
Did you give Uber app all the permissions when you installed it? Maybe you blocked features like WiFi and GPS upon install.
I’m an iPhone user so I’m not sure if I know what I’m talking about.
The circle keeps on spinning.
I am sure it eventually reaches a driver that has super low ratings.
No! No way! You can't make the driver have a conversation with you. You can't make anyone have a conversation with you.
Then again, I suppose this is a good question, because the reality is that there is a customer involved who may talk to the driver and it needs to be appropriately responded to. I suppose the driver can make an excuse and just explain his or her preference to not talk?
You know why. Coming up with a next generation Peter Pan Bus doesn't sound nearly as cool. I am not even joking. Without the hype these tech companies cannot get investor funds.
Don't you need a livery license to drive for either of these services? That's a bar usually too high for people who drive for Uber and Lyft.
Related question. Do all UberBlack drivers have livery license? No, right?
It does? I take Uber all the time and I didn’t know I can hold up my phone as a beacon.
I’m guilty of the texting. I too often text my driver. Us millennials hate talking on the phone. I mean, that’s why we use Uber and not calling taxi dispatch.
I am being serious. I wonder how much idling fee costs (besides your time, of course). Obviously it uses gas. I am curious what the expense is compared to a wait time fee.
I am sure some would argue you can turn your car off, but at airports and scuh, you definitely are not allowed to, so I empathize.
Passengers should have a beacon. Oh, what about their phones taht light up in a different color? You hold it up as the car approaches.
Did I invent something mindblowing. Someone give me millions.
...but there are always those drunk kids causing trouble. Sigh.
Uber drivers are the butt of all jokes these days.
Thanks! helpful.
