Why are drivers so obsessed with their ratings. From my understanding about 98% of people just give 5 stars. I'm not a driver but these threads always confuse me - chill out people!
Well if you get a 1 or a 2 that is a significant outlier from a 4.79 and would most definitely cause your rating to drop. While 4s and 5s would even out to a 4.5 naturally, keeping your score stagnant. It Uber's rating scale fair, far from it, but mathematically this does make sense.
