Scary Stuff! Dashcam video catches the moment rider tries to hijack the vehicle from driver
This is why I don't like people sitting in the front. He could have killed them both!https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2019/01/23/passenger-grabs-steering-wheel-uber-dashcam-mxp-vpx.hln -
Seattle looking to change Uber/Lyft laws which might increase rates over $1 per mile!
They want to increase driver earnings, I woner what Uber's responce to this will be. http://www.king5.com/article/news/local/seattle-explores-new-uber-and-lyft-rules/281-536485420 -
Today I unplugged my phone charger for an Express pool pax
yep. if you choose express pool, you are getting a no frills kind of ride! No phone charger or water …
Can count on one hand the number of people who actually tipped me in the app after telling me they would. Most people who do tip in the app, just tip they don't say it.
I always thought it was based on the time is actually took. What exactly is Uber saying back to you? Can you paste the emails here?
It always bothers me when the parents get all pissed that I wont take their ride. Like Honestly, you are upset that I am protecting your child?! Some people jsut shouldnt have kids.
I usually just keep some simply snacks to ward off hunger like nuts, trailmix, really anything dry and non-smelly then I cook at home.
Yep, this is why we complain that we are actually losing money once you factor in taxes and gas and maintaince and insurance, and so on.
I once picked up this one girl from market basket (she must have worked there as she was in uniform) and she was sobbing, like hands on her face sobbing. I was praying she wasn't my ride as I was pulling up and when she started walking towards my car my heart sank. I didn't want a 20 minute ride with a girl crying uncontrollably. She got in, I kind of ignored her at first but then I asked if she was ok and she was literally cry-heaving in the backseat. She sputtered out that she just found out her dad had passed away. She started spilling everything and while it was a little hard to understand her through the tears I got the impression that the last time she talked with her dad they had gotten in a big fight. You could tell the guilt and remorse was just eating her up. I still think about her almost 2 years later. I hope she is doing alright.
Interesting, I love how it is broken down by top earning and lowest earning cities. Also, does anyone on here drive for Lux, is it really profitable?!
Are your kids over 18? If not, then no. Anyone under 18 cannot ride with Uber or Lyft without a parent or guardian. I will not pick kids up.
Wait, do you think a significant number of drivers are really going to do it?
WTF, Im sick of always having to double check Uber. checking mine right now..
Lots of lysol spray, windows down, and only smoke when I do not have passengers. Those little smelly car tree things don't help at all, fyi.
Honestly, I don't notice if you are wearing a seatbelt or not. So I guess I don't really care...
right, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. dont make me wait and then get mad at me when YOU are late.
Throw up, then charge a cleaning fee.
coldhearted.
If you drive say 3 hours away for a ride and cross state borders can you get new Uber pax along your way back home? Or do you lose all that time on the 3 hours journey back?
Some people are struggling to put food on the table. When too many drivers sign up for Uber, Uber lowers their rates making it harder for those that need it to make ends meet. Do what you wnat but I would keep this in mind.
I have a dashcam, makes me feel so much safer. I haven't had to use it in a dispute yet but I know I will be happy to have the footage if anyone ever does try to cheat me.
Wow, this has never happened to me. I don't even know what I would do if it did. I mean I wouldn't want to get in trouble for transporting a minor but at this point I would feel responsible for the kid! I don't know if I could jsut leave them without a ride!
Yes, this is such a pet peeve of mine. passengers jsut feel like they have to say that I think but c'mon they know they never will. As soon as they leave the car they figure "eh, ill never see that guy again. might as well save a few bucks".
