I don't know if there are any real driver hacks that I would recommend - there are quite a few that are in more of an ethical gray area like this 'cancellation strategy' that some drivers do. But I think in general, there aren't a whole lot of shortcuts to being a driver.
That said, without a doubt the drivers that are out there hustlin' are making significantly more than the average drivers. I think anything that leverages your driving and the connections you're making is smart: ie if you are a photographer, carry around a bunch of printed photos in the trunk and have some small ones in the car ready to sell in case it comes up/anyone asks.
