In an ever-growing effort to expand into untapped markets, Uber has just launched one of their more ambitious ideas yet… nationwide shipping on Uber Eats orders. No longer just an app to alleviate late-night munchies, Uber Eats is now a solution for sending beloved foods to those far away.
With Nationwide shipping you can now send NYC bagels to your friend in Chicago or order your favorite hometown Pad Thai when you are feeling a bit homesick, all within the friendly interface of the Uber Eats app.
Uber noticed that “Over the last few years (especially during two years of lockdowns with decreased travel), consumers have shared their desire to bring specialty food items straight to their home.” And apparently merchants are showing a “desire to diversify their offerings and reach new consumers.”
