What are typical expenses for an Uber or Lyft driver? Give me the weird ones too.
I am writing a paper on this analyzing the take home. The drivers obviously have to pay for: Cars and …

That whole bit on manipulating surge was proved to be false.
Never thought I'd see a NFL mention on a rideshare site.
Not to mention stereotypes but it’s hard to trust people who even thinks of driving Uber with a pickup. Just odd, ya know? Fuel mileage, etc.
If there’s UberTruck, sure go for it. I even think that’d be super useful
I like this one.
What a petty fight to sit in the front seat. It'd be cool if this insecure one in the front would make out with the driver just to make the backseat jealous.
What do you mean "coming from home?" Do you mean like they are sitting in their homes waiting for the ping?
OMG. He just went there. Commence the sh*tstorm.
Ha, I just saw this for the 4:30am flight thing. That's what I do. every week.
Remember Uber does call one to arrive 15 minutes early and drivers are aware that it is a scheduled ride. and don't worry about being dinged for driver waiting. They love them airport rides. they make more money off of them. (I think)
Pretty reliable. I use it every Monday at 4:30AM to get to the airport.
As other posters, it's basically an automated way to call an Uber for you so you don't have to. It saves me from calling one while I am getting ready.
If anything, I think Uber encourages human trafficking. They need a way to get around and this enables them.
Automatic FIVE STARS.
Nah, if anything, I think they charge you more, because you know you will use their service. No need to give you incentives if you are already prone to using it.
Check out this truth:

Bart: Uh, yes, I'm looking for a friend of mine. Last name Jass. First name Hugh.
Just call a car service. actually better, just call an Uber when you need a car. Scheduling Uber is for schmucks.
I didn’t know we expected more from Uber. Do we?
Are you talking about how we complain about the pick-up time, car cleanliness, people not getting attacked and stuff? That maybe true. I do think the expectation has changed a bit, but I think these issues have nothing to do with the price of the rides.
I mean, are you saying that we wouldn’t mind longer pick up time, dirty cars and constantly being attacked if the price was cheaper?
With such high turnover among the drivers, there will always be new douches
I’m not a driver so I don’t have the partner app but I have noticed my driver make the same excuse multiple times. No, I’m not a jerk so I did believe them and I just went with it. Glad (?) to hear it’s a legit problem
I have to admit. I had no idea "wizened" was a word. Gotta use that tomorrow.
Clothes, Laptop, and XBox. That seems like a business trip to me. :)
Seriously, can't you just take a train for that amount.
I would imagine this is a huge red flag when the passengers don’t know where the car is headed. Shouldn’t that immediately indicate a fraud?
It’s like when the passenger asks the name of the passenger. Lol. There aren’t that many things drivers have to identify the customer, so really if the person you are picking up doesn’t have the name and destination, there isn’t much they can do.
9.94? That's literally off the charts!! You must be very good. ;)
Great question. I'd say on a bicycle with four seats.
