Does anybody else have lots of GPS issues? It seems like it's becoming more and more unreliable, with so much lag it tells me to turn when I'm in the intersection. I've used the uber navigation and Google maps, both mess me up.

I didn't receive my cancellation fee from the rider who cancelled. What could be the reason? Uber of course isn't writing back. Did the rules change?

I used the Uber GPS because it had an advantage of canceling the GPS when the ride was canceled.
Several months ago I couldn't find a pickup. I typed the address into my personal phone and used Waze. It took me to the pickup.
The same day the Uber GPS took me to the side entrance of a hotel. It turned out to be the entrance to a bridge. Thankfully the passenger saw a side walk that led to the front of the hotel. I pulled over and He walked with his bags to the front.
That was enough for me. I stopped using Uber GPS ever since. I use Waze now and you must watch for the cancellation notice or you could possibly go to the cancelled pickup spot.
I'm not sure why Uber decided to do their own GPS, when two good ones where available.
That's exactly the kind of thing that happens to me at least once every shift. It's really stressful when you have a rider in the car with you and you can't find the right destination. I'll try waze and see if things improve.
Lots of GPS related posts in the last few days.
You may want to update your phone. My old iPad that’s affixed to my dash has a little delay in my location and telling me the turns a tad too late.
It turns out that my iPad was too old and too slow for the recent heavy GPS apps. I tried the same apps on my newer iPhone, side by side with my iPad, and realized the problem.
So considering updating the hardware. I know it’s not an expense you want, but...
Also, Uber recently updated their GPS and how it works. Maybe that exacerbated the problem
Moving from a Galaxy 7 to a Note 9 this week. Hope it helps. Thanks!
StuffinMuffin, How did you handle Phone calls using the Ipad?
I keep both my iPhone and iPad on. The calls and texts go to the iPhone number on profile. iPad does it’s own thing, basically for directions.
Thanks
