Have you heard about the taxi strikes in Barcelona?

They are pretty intense. They have been going on for 2 days. Hundreds of taxi drivers have come together to protest and of course things have turned violent. Two rideshare drivers had to be hospitalized, one had burns on his face from and acid attack. Uber/Cabify have suspended services due to the protests leaving tourists and locals stranded.

    I get taxi drivers are mad but I don't get why they attack rideshare drivers. It isn't their fault. Take it up with the govt or Uber Corporate.

    So sad, such a raging industry right now. Just think, this will most likely happen again with other industries when people start losing jobs to robots.

    Yeah, they are putting up quite a fight over there.  In December, ther was a 24-hour national strike of taxi drivers.

    Smart of Uber to stop service for a bit. This is verey dangerous for those drivers.
