I am honestly not sure what makes me more angry about this story. Watch the video and read the story. This is a very local tragedy and my own father was struck in similar fashion TWICE while driving for Uber. Thankfully he is alive and well and errr cranky and old.

A few things worth pointing out:

1)  This beautiful young woman should still be alive but isn’t

2)  This absolute scum of the earth that caused this accident should not be eligible for bond first Jesse Smollett and now this guy unbelievable well done Crook County way to stay persistent.  Maybe this guy will have his charges vacated also I’m sure he didn’t mean to kill that woman.

3) Are Lyft drivers seriously this hard up for work that they are assisting murderers in escaping imminent arrest?  This moron should be charged as an accessory.  God only knows what evidence the killer may have removed from the crime scene and discarded. Well done you bloody idiot  I hope you personally and Lyft both get sued big-time in addition to the more obvious lawsuits related to this.

4)  I have lived in Chicago in my entire life and you can believe me when I tell you that the way this guy was driving away from the city is a VERY regular thing on EACH of the non-tollways. So 290, 90, 94, 57, 55, and  I guess you do see some of the various tollways as well but for some reason you see less of it I assume because there is a paper trail of sorts when you pay those tolls electronically.  For example on 294 if I enter the tollway north from 57 and I dri…

Rideshare companies need to provide some sort of advanced defensive driving tips and or training. In my experience if you take your eyes off of those mirrors for more than a few seconds on those highways at that time of day your mortality rate plummets. You are almost certain to be side swiped or rear ended by a car going 100 mph ++.

5)  It should chill everybody to the bone that this story gets harder and harder to google every day. The morning that it happened it was very easy to find and there were dozens of results.  Uber is sparing no resources paying scrubbers to make this one less search engine findable pre-IPO launch.  So all the money that they should be paying drivers they are using for damage control for this story and many others. Whatever money is left they are going to build robots to use as slaves instead of flesh slaves. Well done Uber.

Wow, this is some intensely detailed reporting.

“What did I do?” Oh, gosh. This man will regret this night for the rest of his life.any people’s lives changed that day.
