Use an Uber/Lyft light in your window? You could get pulled over in some states!

Just read this article that those lights are actually illegal in Kansas. I has no idea! I see plenty of drivers using them. Rideshare companies really should check local laws before giving away things that could get their drivers in trouble.

Seen a driver tonight with stickers on both front and back windshield and sm stickers on side windows for Uber and Lyft. Pink Lyft beacon Blue Uber light. Drove passed him all of a sudden i see a blinding white strobe light in rearview. Dont know what that was all about. Regardless these lights sitting on dash are somewhat distracting at times. The white stobe light was definately a distraction. Didnt know if I was getting pulled over or beamed up by aliens. Chill on the ride share decor we get it you drive for Uber snd Lyft. Just saying I dont want to advertise driving for either for a few reasons.

All I got are stupid stickers. Uber doesn't love me enough to send me one of those cool beacons.

Weird that only some colors are illegal... seems like one of those odd laws like "in Kentucky you can't ride a horse backwards while wearing a sombrero" 😂

big surprise that Uber didn't research this first. they don't give a s**t about their drivers.
