Yesterday, Lyft announced their newest initiative, Lyft Media. Lyft describes Lyft Media as “Lyft’s very own media and advertising business”. Lyft breaks down Lyft Media into 4 segments, Lyft Halo, Lyft Tablets, Lyft Bikes, and Lyft Skins. Here is a breakdown of each platform.

Up until this point, rideshare companies only accepted debit/credit cards as a form of payment. Unfortunately, that created a transportation barrier for almost 7.1 million US households who are “unbanked” or have limited access to traditional financial services. read moreJust weeks after Lyft announced their new and improved shared rides, Uber released a statement detailing their newest service, UberX Share. Similar to Uber’s old pool option, UberX share allows passengers who are going in the same direction to share an Uber ride and save on cost.
