Damn, this is tragic. Horrible. :(
Yes. Decentralization is great for something completely fungible like currency. For something like this, not so much.
Does tigger count as a zombie 😂😂😂
Taxibot sounds like something out of the jetsons. Funny maybe, but not cool.
Autotaxi? Cooler than Robotaxi? What is wrong with you guys.
WHAT?? Robotaxi sounds awesome!! It's like RoboCop. It's cool as hell. Let's stick with it.
If they get that cheap, traffic is going to be horrendous. God help us.
Nope. Why do that when I can have someone pick me up right where I stand, sooner, and for probably only a few dollars more? I'm not even ashamed to say it. And, like it or not, I think this attitude will be shared by many.
People will use it. But I think it will be somewhat rare. People are lazy. Including myself. I guess if I was a dirt poor college student with lots of time maybe I'd use it occasionally.
they will probably start doing some useless mandatory training course for new drivers. To cover their ass legally.
If you get pulled over and there is a child not in a childseat, isn't it on the driver? Seems like a dumb move.
Seems like a decent move. As a rider I have had some scary rides.
I would settle a lawsuit for 0.34% of my net worth any day. Actually I think that means they'd have to pay ME.
Surge pricing must be a bitch on this one.
Am I the only one who couldn't get through that article??? JEesh, why are they making this so complicated.
"Campbell thinks other reasons may have factored into the tip limit, such as avoiding scams and the 3 percent fee Uber pays credit card companies"
That's interesting. I hadn't thought of that. Uber has to pay a fee on the tip itself. I can see now why they were reluctant to add a tipping feature...
LOL
icky
Old people drivers are the best, if you get lucky they will have a bowl of gross tasting hard candies in the back seat waiting for you!
Lyft is like the energizer bunny. I don't understand how they keep going. They and Uber have been in a pricing war for years, neither of them are making money. I guess their investors really think they could win in the end.
