Happy Holidays RideGuru Fans! 2017 has been quite a year in the rideshare world. Uber has taken many hits from #deleteUber to Susan Fowler's whistle blowing essay regarding Uber's unfit workplace culture. Travis Kalanick stepped down as CEO along with a number of other high executives, sexual harrasment cases seemed to appear in the news daily, and Uber finally initiated their "180 days of change" movement. Lyft for the first time ever grew at a rate faster than Uber (in NYC) and took a big international leap into Canada! Smaller rideshare companies popped up every other week to compete with Uber claiming to cater towards females, children, or based on the promise to never employ surge pricing! And finally the race to create the first autonomous car really heated up between the major players; GM, Google, Tesla, and Uber. Maybe in 2018 we will finally see a company pull away from the pack and riders will start hailing driverless cars home from the bars.

RideGuru has had quite the year as well. We now support over 60 rideshare companies in all 50 states and in thousands of cities across 90 countries. We debuted our iPhone app and started supporting shared rides such as Uber Pool and Lyft Line!

We are excited for what 2018 will bring and are looking forward to another year of milestones. Stay tuned as we have some big plans in the works to continue improving and streamlining the world of ridesharing. Happy Holidays and have a wonderful New Year!

Sincerely,

The RideGuru Team
