   5 years ago in  Drivers. Is it acceptable to call an Uber or Lyft to drive me a few blocks (say less than a mile) so I can get home safely?

  Absolutely yes.  I'm motivated by providing a service...a safe, affordable ride.  Some days it looks like I MADE money and other days not so much;) I like to be busy and give back-to-back rides whether short or long.
