2 weeks ago in  Lyft Now Accepts Cash as a Form of Payment!

Yes! Lyft now allows cash-preferred riders to pay by adding physical cash to their Lyft Cash balance at over 35,000+ retail locations across the U.S., including Walmart, Kroger, and ACE Cash Express. Just go to the Payment section in the Lyft app, tap Add Cash → In-Store → Find a Store, and follow the steps to generate a barcode or ID to present at checkout.

    • Minimum deposit: $30

    • No extra fees to add or use Lyft Cash

    • Bike/scooter riders still need a credit/debit card on file

    • New users can use Lyft Cash alone to book rides

This update makes Lyft the first major rideshare app to truly support cash-based riders—great news for millions without access to traditional banking!
