  The best advice I can offer is to go over your current policy and read exactly what it covers. If you are located in Virginia this is a service I am happy to offer for you as a way to make sure you do not experience any potential gaps.

  Sure,

  My experience is with Uber. The protection they provide only covers you while you have a passenger in your car and are on an active trip. Often times your standard auto insurance does not extend to work related applications. this sometimes leaves a gap while you are online and either picking someone up or waiting for your next trip to come through
