I do not agree with a thing you stated. I would gladly take shorter rides then longer as stated in the comments below. You earn a base for that ride regardless of how far you go. I think you do not fully understand the platform or just like to complain because what you said makes no sense. If you are getting dinged then drive for Lyft, do another gig platform or get a hourly job. I am skeptical about your situation. I think you just like to complain as your statements do not back up your comments on how the platform works for the other 99.999% of us.
