Feeling that way is totally normal and I'm very surprised she would have been playing that and you have every right and expectation to ask her to change it or turn it off entirely...
I'm going to assume that your response was because you waited too long to say anything (happens to me all the time) and so you were ruder than you would have been had you asked when you first heard it but lecturing her like that was definitely rude and I'm not surprised by her or your daughter's reaction. Lecturing a stranger never goes well.
