Uber still punishes for declining January 2020
Uber still punishes us for declining rides. You can be in a busy area and still not get a ride …
I'm in San Diego. Their "changes" are smoke and mirrors.
Right? I guess, what should we expect from a company who has made billions on loopholes....? I have noticed that my ap is not counting down because I've been stopped waiting for rides. However I still do not dismiss we are being put on time outs based on the fact alone that its beyond strange I can be in a busy area for long stretches of time and nothing comes through after I decline a ride. No matter what, its literally a breach of contract to do so, and I'll probably be seeking a class action attorneys. I wouldn't get much from it financially, as opposed to hiring a private attorney, but it would be beneficial for all drivers to do it that way; because, even if they cant be a part of the class action suit, those cases force the company to stop doing it....
Yes that's what I do. Lots of screenshots showing consistently in busy area and that my internet is fine, as well as of the "time remaining online" left available and how for hours it's the same. Like, if it says I have 9 hours 45 minutes remaining out of my 12 hours, how when I check again in 30 mins, an hour later... it's still showing 9 hours 45 minutes even though I've been online and it says I'm in a busy area the whole time... can also do screenshots of how job types are different than previous weeks months where all of a sudden I'm only getting extremely short trips compared to lots of long trips in past.
Uber still punishes us for declining rides. You can be in a busy area and still not get a ride for hours. Their punishment through timeouts seem to be even more excessive now compared to their punishments before they lied to drivers saying there is no more acceptance rating. Be aware - Uber is still keeping track and using that information against you to force you to take every ride. If you dont, after an extensive time out, they will further punish you with very short rides over and over. If you decline? Back on timeout till you've learned to be an obedient slave. How do you know? Pay attention to your time remaining online. You will notice it freezes. Uber has had me on time out for 6 hours total today. Be sure to FLOOD THEM with complaints - drivers need evidence logged should this matter go to court to force an investigation. I told Uber flat out at least on 4 occasions with documentation of the timeouts that they ARE doing this.... and they play dumb, say your account is fine, accuse your network of being the problem, tell you to do ridiculous things like toggle airplane mode.... Not once though, each time I boldly accused them did they deny they are doing it. They will just say they reviewed your account and it's working. That is a slymove. Yes, my so is technically in "working" status, but an ap that is active does not mean it's not on timeout. They are very sly with their verbage. Not once did they DENY timeouts exist. This is breach of contract. To tell drivers you can deny rides without it affecting you, and that your acceptance rating no longer affects your status, but then secretly use your acceptance rating to punish you is a new low for Uber.
