Uber is the best at being the worst. I was given a gift card for Uber (which I normally don’t use), but I downloaded the app… I got ONE RIDE. ONE. Before I started being told there was an error when I tried to request a ride. Managed to speak to someone through chat (I learned later that they don’t have a customer service number), and my issue was “escalated”. Then I got an email telling me they reset my password. So I go to change it, but I’m not getting any verification code. Eventually someone finds me a number to call (it’s only for drivers), but I got lucky and that person was helpful. He reviewed my account and eventually we found out that SOMEHOW Uber had my number wrong. I asked him if he would send me an email so I could send screenshots proving that they had my number correct just THAT MORNING. He “escalated” that for me. So far it’s been four days with no response other than to be told that I’m being restricted access to my account for violating some rules (WTF) that just magically appeared??
