It seems, in the name of technical glitch they are escaping from making payments. Uber is aware that drivers don’t have evidences to prove the ride and in most cases (specially during busy time) it’s hard for drivers to remember every riders name with their pickup and drop-off location & time. They are using this knowledge not to pay the drivers.

Every time getting same reply from the sales rep. Mine earning on that trip was $15-$20, so it wasn’t that hard to let it go. But for you, I can’t imagine..

It may not be fake though, because I guess Uber has outsourced their call center to some other countries. Whenever u call to Uber Support, the CSRs sound like foreigner.
It’s so frequent. If u don’t check earnings on each trip, u will be loosing lots of toll money. In many of my trips as well, even after driving on toll roads I was either not paid or underpaid the toll amount.
In such case, u have to figure out the difference and report it to Uber and they will reimburse u.

I have been in same situation.
As usual, they never going to reply u. Weird thing I found when I was in such situation is, Lyft does not have even direct phone number for drivers where u can talk about ur situation. U can just text, which they might reply whenever they want. And if they don’t want to listen ur concern, they will simply leave the conversation and even close ur case without providing u any help.
