This is one thing rideshares have one leg over taxis. The drivers drive their own vehicles, so it's in their best interest to keep their cars clean.
I agree that a quick wipe with Lysol wipes is not too much effort. Makes a huge difference.
I think the commonsense would reveal that cab drivers generally would have more experience and considers it as a professional gig, so they'd be safer.
I am sure this isn't true always, but I can't really come up with arguments for Lyft drivers being safer or better drivers.

- what is GPS faking and why would they do that?
- how can taxi drivers drive as Uber and Lyft? That wouldn’t be allowed, right? Unless of course your taxi drivers drive their own cars that are registered in their name.

I apparently don't deserve the premier drivers. I wonder what my driver rating is. This is assuming Uber hooks up similarly rated drivers and riders together. That is a thing, right?

4.87 is the highest out of any driver I have seen. Saw it in Indiannapolis when I visited and I couldn't believe it. Then again, I am from Jersey, and I'd imagine either drivers suck here or users rate critically.

The liability aspect will change. for example, Uber will be more responsible for the actions of employees. so if a violation is made and damages are caused, some of the blame and liability can fall on Uber.
At some point, I'm gonna start thinking there is a conspiracy to stop the autonomous vehicles.
