It’s happened to me several times now. I ask them their name, and they tell me no, I have to give them their name. I try to tell them that’s not how it works, and they try to tell me those are the rules. I am getting fed up.
Uber partners can participate in 2 types of promotions: Quest and Boost. Depending on what city you drive in, you may receive both, or just one or the other.

To the extent that they can innovate and provide new ideas to transporting people, then yes, perhaps worth investing.

The drivers are not expected to wait. It is just a one way trip, then the rider has to find a ride or way home.

Well Uber does state this
"Only rental cars acquired through official Vehicle Solutions programs and locations can be used on the Uber platform."
so I think you can do it but you have to do it through Uber not a 3rd party.
