Details emerge on Uber's secret "Police Evading" task force

"The Ripley program was a closely guarded secret at Uber — many staff in offices being raided were unaware of its existence. The system enabled staff to remotely change passwords and “otherwise lock up data on company-owned smartphones, laptops, and desktops as well as shut down the devices”, to thwart Police raids."

    Imagine where Uber would be today if they played by the rules. I actually think Lyft may have beaten them if it weren't for all of Uber's antics.
