Uber seems to always get out of these things. I have little hope.
Actually read the story. The guy had a heart attack a while later. This is so blown out of proportion. Just a sensational headline.
So do you expect better tips from better dressed people?
Why do I love watching DashCam videos so much?! Does anyone else find it oddly satisying, watching all the cars just traveling on a normal day, knowing something big is going to happen, trying to spot it before it does ("Oh that red car is going to be the one to crash!"). Please tell me I am not all that odd?
Something seems fishy about this. First that other passenger must have been SO incredibly blacked out to not remember his friend getting shot and dying. I would think even if you were pretty drunk that would be something your would remember. I dont get why the driver didnt just get back in his car and lock the door? I dont know, such an odd story.

I had no idea there was a threshold. Makes sense though, drivers taking advantage of messes is a big problem. I have hear of drivers collecting fees for a tiny amount of dirt tracked in a car from shoes. That is just part of being a driver, getting a little dirt in your car...
