Smell. Most people you can't smell them. But the ones that you can.... you know what I mean. Either massive BO, or way too much perfume. Or they just finished a cigarette. Not my cup of tea.
How about weed? Its legal in CA, once my account got put on hold for 48 hours because the previous passenger reeked of pot smell, the next passenger ended her ride early and wrote Uber complaining that I was smoking weed in the car. Sure enough Uber suspended my account until they did their investigation. Typical Uber style, shoot the driver first ask questions later.
Appearance is no big deal but bad BO is automatic downrate, if I'm picking up at the beach, wet sand no shoes, GTFO 1*, I'm in CA where pot is legal, if they smell pot, it's a no go.

This seems pretty basic. Probably anyone in the service industry would have the same answers. When you work in service half the job is reading people quickly and having the appropriate response.
So do you expect better tips from better dressed people?
Toppers will tip, most won't, has nothing to with the way they're dressed. Also on lower platforms pax don't feel like they need to tip, Select, Lux or Suv drivers get tipped almost every ride. Go figure!
Unless your blind of course it would be appearance. This is dumb.
Ya a lot of these make sense, intoxication level, number of pax, general apppearance. The one driver who mentioned smell though cracked me up, I mean ya I will notice smell but it is not the first thing i notice. He must have some smelly passenger haha
