No, they cannot.
No. The drivers cannot see much information about their upcoming riders. In fact, they used to display the first name as part of the request, but since they were worried drivers were cherry picking by gender, they decided to replace it with a gender genric icon. See an example from my driver screen below.

This is so fascinating, I never thought about how much information the driver would know about me. Wait, they don't even display the first name anymore? When I enter an Uber drivers greet me by my first name to verify I am their rider. How would they verify this now?
