Do Not understand why drivers are still falling for this! Uber and Lyft do not call you! They especially dont offer you bonuses over the phone. Drivers wake up! Dont allow this to happen to you.

Another scam popped up over the weekend. After accepting a ride a text pops up supposedly from Uber. Its says Uber has generated a rider for you and to send your phone number. Its the passenger (scammer)trying to get your real number. Then they call you asking for your info and offering bonuses.
TO THE NEW DRIVERS OUT THERE
UBER AND LYFT WILL NOT CALL YOU, TEXT YOU, OR EMAIL YOU ASKING FOR PERSONAL INFO AND THEY DEFINATELY WILL NOT CALL YOU OFFERING BONUSES. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. ANY MONEY YOU HAVE IN YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE STOLEN.
Cannot comprehend why people fall for this. Not only do Uber and Lyft not call you but they sure as hell dont offer you bonuses. Maybe the drivers that fall for it are new. Regardless anyone driving out there for Uber and Lyft dont be a victim.
There are so many scams out there. The recent one I got was a call from the FBI telling me I am wanted for money laundering and other crimes. Obviously I dont do these things. If they FBI wanted me they are not going to call me to warn me. They will just show up and take me away. Even if you believe these scams are valid once they start asking you for Google Play or I Tune cards that has to throw up a red flag. Why the hell would they ask for gift cards? SMDH Wake up people. If you are wanted by the IRS or FBI they are not going to call you.
