Hello fellow Chicagoland drivers:

I started doing Rideshare almost 3 months ago. It’s been cool for the most part… but been hard to stay motivated and on task. I have always been a hard worker at any job, but this 1099 gig is a completely different animal. Any tips for someone that’s always been used to working a day shift job? Since support centers are open 9-7 regardless of local time, I was thinking of doing 10 hour days and just eating before and after work, with eating lunch whenever I stop for gas during the work day. The less stopping there is, the better chances to make money. I live south west of Chicago and am trying to come up with the best strategy. Any tips from other drivers would be helpful. I have hit close to $500 in one day, but I think that was somewhat beginners luck. I’ve learned quite a few dos and donts along the way too. I drive a 3 row suv, so I would think that XL and Comfort are my best options. But, I’d miss out on all long ride X, Green and Pet rides. I typically keep Pet, Connect and Deliveries off. Should I just keep everything on and find better hang out spots? My thinking is this… the platform will give me the highest fare automatically, and I’ll have 7 streams of income at all times off a single app. Should I just delete Lyft or keep it just in case? There’s a legal limit of 12 driving hours in Chicago anyway. If any drivers who can help me with my game plan are willing to share knowledge and bounce ideas off each other, hit me up on IG: c_chav85 and we can exchange numbers there
