I am still so grossed out, this lady brought her pet turantula in my Uber today! I was about to turn her down but she said it was her service animal. For real?! Is this a thing? I didn't want to get in trouble by turning her down but now I jsut keep feeling like I have a spider crawling on me...

If it is a regular dog, I think it's up to the Uber driver to decide if a dog could be on the ride. But if it is a service dog, then Uber driver could not refuse for the ADA.

Right, but the registered ones, right?

and by registered, I mean dogs that wear those cute little blue vests! Love 'em!

    I had to google this...

"Let’s get this off of our chest, not literally, tarantulas can be quite scary to say the least. But all animals need love and some people tend to cling to tarantulas. If you’re looking for a quiet and exotic companion animal, this might be the choice for you! Tarantulas may appear very intimidating and may seem like the most threatening creepy crawling spider type but according to National Geographic, they are actually harmless, “their mild venom is weaker than a typical bee’s”. Not only that, but they’ve always been popular pets. As an ESA though, they are quite interesting and sometimes rather adorable!"

Everyone who says they are emotionally supported by a tarantula is just pulling your leg. It's a conspiracy started by a bunch of people who claimed it helps them. and people couldn't argue because they were afraid of offending these frail people.

Uber prohibits friends and family to come on the ride with the driver.  It says nothing about pets

(On UberEATS, drivers are allowed to bring a friend.)

WHAT, how can a turantula be a service animal? What service was it providing? scaring away creepy men? lol

I am sure it says somewhere in your auto insurance terms that yo are not supposed to have a poisonous creatures.  No, this isn't a joke.  You do something like this and I am sure your liability insurance will be affected.  Yes, I am referring to the spider biting your passenger.
