So I get it. You are not allowed to order more than one vehicle at a time. You have to wait until the current ride to be over before you can request another. With that said, can I schedule multiple rides and make them close to each other? Has anyone tried?
Has anyone tried scheduling multiple Uber vehicles for the same time, so you can hire multiple? (which is something you usually cannot do?)
The Guru Take
Remember the rule. Only one trip at a time per account/app.
We have actually tried this at RideGuru. This leads to erratic behavior by the Uber system.
As you try to schedule a ride for a time that is too close or at the same time as an existing schedule, the app will either:
- Throw an error
- Accept the request and NOT record it. (You may even receive an email confirmation but it doesn't appear in Your Trip. Sometimes the email confirmation itself as an error. )
- Sometimes does allow you.
So, the experiemnt was somewhat frustrating, but it basically comes down to this. Always remmeber that there can never be multiple rides happening at the same time, and no new requests can be kicked-off until the previous trp is over. So even if you are able to confirm two scheduled rides at the same time (per result #3 above), don't count on it, because when the day comes for the trips, the second will not be honored.
