RIDEGURU
We are going to need to get from Galway to Carrick-on-Shannon, and also from Portumna to Shannon Airport. Does Uber (or other ride companies) cover these areas? Buses and trains are almost impossible to arrange because of the towns' locations.

Try Hailo or a Taxi
Unfortunately, Uber does not yet cover these areas. The only ride services available in the areas you mentioned are traditional taxi cabs and Hailo (an app that hails traditional taxi cabs). Both services will be right around the same price for you to use. I researched your first route using our RideGuru Fare Calculator and it looks like from Galway to Carrick-on-Shannon, your fare will be around 165 Euros. Another option is to rent a car and drive yourself!
