Like, Lilly said, we suggest you come up with a sample trip, say from your home to the local supermarket, punch it into RideGuru and see what options there are and how much they are.
Keep in mind that there are minimum fares for almost all options out there. So, for short trips, the cheaper flavors of each company will be better, say UberX from Uber.

I will also add that, at time of this writing and in the USA, UberX tends to have the cheapest short trips. (In most US markets, Lyft matches Uber prices BTW.)
