So far Lyft commercial insurance had done nothing to help a driver I know that had a wreck while transporting riders. He was not at fault. No tow, no replacement, no help of any kind. Has received email stating he cannot incur tow or storage fees and if they accept the case, he will have to cough up $2500. Is this typical? If so, I will stop driving for Lyft. I cannot afford to lose my car. Also, his personal insurance won't cover the accident as it contends that Lyft commercial carrier is responsible.

Lyft carries our commercial insurance. Someone I know was in a wreck, not at fault, while carrying customers. They've done nothing to help him. His car is parked on the side of road because tow truck didn't know where to take it. The tow truck was thru Allstate as per Lyft directions. Would only do 5 miles at no cost and would charge for storage. Days later he received email from Lyft commercial insurance carrier that IF they decide to accept case, he must not have tow or storage fees and he needs to cough up $2500. They have not helped him get a rental or anything. Anyone else have this experience? If so, I'm going to quit driving for Lyft. I can't afford to be without my vehicle.
