Cancel if possible. If arriving on a flight, you may want to give the driver a heads-up
First of all, if this is a "Scheduled Ride", you are able to edit or cancel the ride at any point before being matched with a driver. See the article here: How do I change or cancel a scheduled booking?
If you have already been matched with a driver, say you booked it while the airplane was still in air (yes, people do that) or you are at home waiting and all of a sudden a flight was delayed, what can you do? You can messag the driver and/or cancel the ride. See here for potential penalty: Uber has cancellation fees? How is that charged?
