No. We do not recommend against scheduling Uber for airport pickups.
We do not recommend scheduling Uber rides for airport pickups. For one, there are usually plentiful of drivers at an airport like LAX, and the wait time should be around 5 minutes even during odd hours. (Hence, Uber recommends that you have all of your bags and ready to go before you reequest a ride). For two, if you schedule a ride in advance and if your flight is delayed, there will be issues making adjustments. (and worst, you will end up with a no-show and incur a cancellation fee.)
Also, did you know Uber "scheduled rides" are not a "reservation" in a way that they are not guaranteed? It is basically a way for Uber to request you a ride automatically when a preset time comes. So, you guessed it; it isn't that different from you landing first and requesting a ride yourself.
