Using Uber to cross the border (Canada to US)
Uber suggests following the below steps when crossing country borders. While this is the official protocol, you may find some drivers are willing to take you across the border if you ask, however, it is not required that they do so.
Official Uber Guidelines for Crossing the Border
- Call an Uber to take you to the border
- Get out of the Uber at the border with all required documentation and cross using the pedestrian lane
- Call a new Uber on the opposite side of the border
