The driver and vehicle requirements vary by your location, but here is a link to the rules for USA.
All vehicles operating on the Uber platform must meet the following requirements:
- must have 4 doors and be able to transport a minimum of 4 passengers
- must be 15 model years old or newer
- title cannot be salvaged, reconstructed, or rebuilt.
- rental vehicles are not allowed on the Uber platform.
- cannot have any cosmetic damage, missing pieces, commercial branding or taxi paint jobs.
Should you choose to drive a vehicle you do not personally own, you must be listed as an insured driver on this vehicle's insurance policy. Please note that Uber cannot approve a vehicle if the driver-partner's name is not on the insurance document.

I have a 16 year old car that is in perfect show quality shape with really low mileage! It’s sad if I can’t drive Uber in Amarillo when I see just 4 high mileage ready to break down cars drive Uber here daily. Are there any options that would allow me to drive here in my awesome car?

Isn’t there like a UberSelect or UberExoticCar option?
If it’s as awesome as you say it is, I believe they make exception. Like a Ferrari which theoretically doesn’t qualify for an Uber as it doesn’t have a four passenger capacity, but I know they allow it on an exception basis.
I mean they have allowed like the ghost buster van and delorean before so my guess is they would be open to it!
