When booking a ride in advance and entering a time, how much time is recommended after a flight has landed? Example: my flight is not due to land until 1:45pm. There will be 2 of us, possibly 3, who also need to retrieve our luggage. We need to get off the plane, find the baggage retrieval area, get our baggage and walk to where the ride will pick us up. How much time after 1:45 is recommended to retrieve baggage? Also, what if the flight is late? When does my credit card get charged? How long will the ride wait there for us to show?

Booking a ride in advance
This is a great question. Depending on where you're traveling to/from, the wait time between getting of the plane and getting into your ride may differ. If you are worried you might leave the driver waiting too long, another option is to wait to request your ride until you are waiting in the baggage claim. There are likely Uber/Lyft cars waiting nearby the airport to pickup passengers, and this way you can be sure you don't leave the driver waiting. It is simple to request your ride on-demand, and your credit card will not be charged until you get into the vehicle.
