Uber, Lyft, Taxis, Limos, and others at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)

Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft can drop you off at the departure level, along side regular passengers and taxis. Notify your driver of the airlines and preferably the terminal upon entering the airport premises.

Due to MSY regulations, the pickup has a slight twist and a process you have to follow.

1. Request when ready.  Choose the right vehicle size

   Keep in mind your luggage requirements. Choose a ride option that will comfortably fit all of the passengers and your suitcases. Here's a guide: How much luggage can I bring in my Uber/Lyft?

2. Proceed to Ground Transportation on Arrivals Level.

   After getting off a flight, follow the signs to "Ground Transportation" and "Baggage Claim." When ready, walk towards the "Ground Transportation Center."  Detailed instructions are below:

   • Due to MSY regulation, your driver must meet you in the Ground Transportation Center. To get there, follow the signage for the Ground Transportation Center and walk directly across all of the pickup lanes on the arrivals level (in the crosswalk of course!).
   • Once you arrive at the Ground Transportation Center, you will see signage for “App Based Ride Services” in the parking lot and rows of numbered parking spaces.
   • Your driver will text or call to tell you which numbered space they are parked in. Just walk to the correct space, verify this is the right driver and vehicle, and you’ll be on your way!
     

3. Notify your driver of your location

   Call or message your driver with information such as Terminal, Door Number and any other information that will help locate you.
