  Is it true that I can no longer sign up as a Uber or Lyft driver in New York City?

  Are they really not accepting any more drivers? Why would Uber turn down drivers? Doesn't that go against the whole …

   3 years ago in  on drop-off, driver almost hit me and stole my belongings in one sweep

  My colleague forgot her purse in the back of a cab. She was freaking out at work until she got a call that said, "I got your purse. Everything is fine. I will come meet you." She was relieved. 

  Then an hour went by.  Then another hour. She called back the number but no one answered.  That's when she realized (well, her colleagued emphasized) that the purse is long gone and the only reason they called was to make sure she didn't cancel the credit cards.

  Yep, 10s of charges at local stores on her credit cards. Amazing, eh?

  Maybe the time and distance it takes to get the food? And traffic?
