This was always an obvious scam right? I mean, come on.
Why are the charging an extra fee for this stuff, which should be a normal part of doing business for them. Are they saying they weren't doing all that before they added the fee?
It's obviously just a way to make more money.
Remember in the beginning Uber was just going to take that and nothing else? 😂 😂 😂
Is that right? Crazy.
I thought it’d be so much more than that. At $1 a ride and then doing more than a billion rides, shouldn’t be like $1 billion dollars?
At first I completely agreed with you but then on further thought I don't think they actually have a booking fee in all their cities.
I hope they spent it on good things...like safety.
Reading how some of the investors and founders making billions, it’s weird to think this entire amount went directly to like one person.
They made a video for drivers about "safety". As we all know there are many issues with rider safety and lets face it no "safety" for drivers. We are easily replaced. A driver and their passenger were just killed by another pool passenger on drugs. They say they used it for background checks. Crappy 3rd party backround checks. Be cheaper for driver to pay their own background check 10.00 per yr. Our booking fee in my market ranges from 1.25 to 1.50 depending on the day. I emailed Uber about the booking fee changing from day to day sometimes trip to trip. They never answered.
