Why does the delivery fee differs so much from delivery to delivery? What are the factors involved?
(I actually use DoorDash, but I assume they both have similar pricing.)

Since this is a relatively new space I believe companies are still trying to figure out the best equations for getting the most orders and making the most money. They need to stay competitive with their delivery fees but go too low and they wont make any money. Vice versa, go to high and they wont get any orders. I have seen fees flux a bit as well as constant promotions. It is always a good idea to shop around!
What is the difference in fees you are seeing. Around me it always seems to be $4-$6 does it vary more for you?
Maybe the time and distance it takes to get the food? And traffic?
Disclaimer: I have no idea. Just guessing.
I bet time and distance has something to do with it. I bet it is like zone based pay - within 1 mile is $X, 3 miles is $XX and so on
