  I have always thought that rides to low-income neighborhoods cost more as some drivers will cancel any requests to drive in/around neighborhoods they deem dangerous? This throws off supply/demand making those rides more expensive? Anyone else think this might be a factor?

  Why do you live in another state? Is rideshare driving all your husband does for work? Can't he drive wherever you are currently living? I would think the distance would be a reason for the relationship strain not the act of rideshare driving.

  Correct, I also believe you cannot pre-schedule an airport Lyft ride. And, unfortunately, there is no real way to know if you will hit surge pricing as it is based on supply and demand. What time are you looking to take the Lyft? If you are traveling during a peak travel time (rush hour) then you can expect to pay more than your estimate. If you are traveling during off hours then your estimate should be spot on!

  I don't think they have much of an advantage, if anything they have branded themselves as the "nice guys" which may win over some customers but most likely not enough to take down Uber.

   5 years ago in  DRIVERS STOP DRIVING CHILDREN WITHOUT CAR SEATS. Car Seat Issue Yet Again! What is wrong with patents? Drivers? Uber & Lyft???

  Wow this really aggravates me to no end. I am not a driver but this law needs to be followed better (tougher consequences?!). I mean these children are not deciding to get in an unsafe vehicle, they have no control over the situation, it is not fair that these "parents" can put their kids in this danger so easily and many people do not even bat an eye. This has to be solved.

  I dont think she is assuming that necessarily, she is more assuming that the prostitutes she knows frequent that one corner are drug addicts and in that case, most likely, they will do anything to get their fix...

  This makes no sense to me. $15 times 15 trips equals $225. For the subscription you have to pay $299? I get you get 5% off after but it still seems like a pretty bad deal to me.

   6 years ago in  Just found a tampon on my Uber seat

  I always think of girls purses like that one scene from Harry Potter where Hermione's little bag has everything they could ever need for months of camping on the run. She just pulls everything out of it. I dont carry a purse, never really have, I just carry my phone, ID, and one credit card but my friends purses are endless and I always know I will be able to bum a tampon or some advil if needed.
