  Interesting question. I also do not believe they they deduct this from our wages but Uber is so sketchy with payments that maybe they do factor this in somehow? If you give a ride to a friend and you look at what the friend pays vs what you make there is always funky math going on 😡

  I am sure we will all have different answers for this but I personally make more money driving passengers than with Uber Eats mainly due to the timing of food delivery. Quite often, maybe 50% of the time the food wouldn't be ready for pickup when I would arrive so I would have to wait around all the while not being paid. With passengers I had almost no down time.

  There needs to be more information here. For instance, how many deliveries did this man complete in the 68 hours he worked? He could have just been sitting on the app for hours at a time and counting that as hours worked with no deliveries.

  Oh my gosh, this is so ridiculous. Blatant Advertising. Uber is not giving you the free soda, Subway is and they hope you will buy food there too. Uber is acting like they are looking out for their drivers when in fact they are getting big fat advertising paychecks for these types of stunts.

  LOL seriously, they definitely sat around in a meeting and brainstormed on how they could make money off of the millions of past uber driver contacts in their database. However, stupid for them to keep it part of the Uber brand. Those drivers quit for a reason, they are not going to want to find another job through Uber.
