Two concepts: a) Scheduling and b) Requesting for a Friend

Yes, you can certainly do that, but it won't be as convenient as "set and forget."

There are two Lyft concepts we need to cover, a) scheduling and b) requesting for a friend.  

1) Scheduling: Yes, you can schedule Lyft rides in advance.  You can do this directly in your Lyft app, by selecting on the clock icon to the right of your set destination. This opens up the screen to specify a future time for pickup.  If you do NOT see this icon, it means this service is not available in your location.

Important: For airport rides, since the time your friend will actually reach the pickup area can vary, we do not recommend scheduling a ride.  What you can do is to connect with your friend upon arriving, and requesting a ride for her at that time.

2) Requesting a ride for a friend

Yes, you can request a ride for your friend.  You simply drag the pin or enter the location of the pickup (i.e. your friend), and tap on "Request Lyft."  This will dispatch the car to your friend's location.  Once the request is accepted and driver assigned, you will want to text or call the Lyft driver on route.  You will want to indicate that he is picking up your friend and where your friend can be picked up.  We recommend specifying what terminal and what door.

You will effectively be playing a middleman.  You will need to contact your friend with the driver information that includes his car make/model, driver name, and license plate.  We recommend you take a screenshot of the Lyft app and send it to your friend.  Your friend will know who the driver is by verifying this information.
