No, not usually. The name has to be on the insurance policy
The Uber driver requirements vary from state to state and depend on local laws and regulations. In most areas, the driver's name only has to be attached to the car's insurance policy, where your name is is listed as a authorized operator. In some areas, the name also has to be attached to the registration.
However, it does not seem Uber requires you to be the owner of the vehicle.
