DTW to Detroit Institute of Arts Museum on 7/27 about 10am departure and return by 4pm

My flight gets into DTW 8 hours ahead of my son's flight.  I've never been to Detroit Institute of Arts Museum and always wanted to.  I'm a retired teacher and would like to find the quickest ride for the cheapest price.  Anyone have suggestions?  

Is it possible to take the Qline 261 from DTW to the terminal and then take the northbound to Canfield and walk to the museum?  How long might that take?  Longer or shorter than an hour?  

or 

Is it possible to rideshare from the airport to the museum and then take the Qline from the museum back to the airport in the afternoon?
