Credit Cards on File (with some exceptions)
Rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.): The primary way to pay rideshare drivers is using your credit card that you store within your mobile app. You keep it on file, and the compaines will charge you automatically once the ride is complete.
(In some limited markets or UberTaxis, there are options to pay cash.)
Taxis: While Taxi transactions traditionally been cash only, these days, they accept various types of payments, such as credit cards and debit cards. In fact, in many major cities (Chicago, NY, Boston, LA, etc.), they are required to accept credit card payments.
